Osteopaths are highly trained professionals who are skilled in diagnosing health issues, including those which might require further investigation. When you first visit an osteopath you’ll be asked about your current symptoms and medical history. All information will be treated as confidential in accordance with the standards of practice set out by the General Osteopathic Council and the General Data Protection regulation (GDPR), May 2018.
People who visit an osteopath consistently report high satisfaction with the care they receive, expressing high confidence in the treatment and advice of their osteopath, with rates in excess of 90% for both satisfaction and trust.
They also work closely with other healthcare professionals such as consultants, GP’s, nurses and physiotherapists. Osteopaths are Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP’s).
